bridging the digital divide within organizations schools and communities.
In today’s rapidly evolving digital world, access to technology is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity for education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Yet, in many parts of Kenya, especially rural and marginalized communities, digital exclusion continues to hinder progress.
Kenya has made commendable strides in digital innovation, but digital literacy remains uneven. Millions—particularly in underserved regions—lack the basic skills to benefit from online opportunities. Owli Africa addresses this challenge by integrating technology into education and entrepreneurship. By doing so, we are equipping students, job seekers, and small business owners with the ability to harness digital tools for learning, employment, and income generation
Our Approach
Owli Africa is committed to closing this gap by empowering schools, youth, women, and grassroots organizations with the tools and skills they need to thrive in the digital era. Through computer training, coding workshops, and access to vital digital resources, we are enabling underserved communities to participate fully in the digital economy.
Our program is designed to bridge the digital divide across underserved schools, community centers, and nonprofit organizations. We achieve this by:
Establishing digital libraries to enhance learning through access to online educational resources.
Providing ICT and coding training for youth and women to increase employability and entrepreneurial capacity.
Raising awareness on cyber safety and digital rights, ensuring safer and more informed internet use.
Building institutional capacity among 150 local NGOs and CBOs to improve program implementation and monitoring & evaluation through digital tools.
