What We provide

NARETOI SAAEN—a Samburu word meaning “Women Empowering Women”—is a dynamic women-led network founded by Owli Africa in collaboration with local and international partners. The initiative brings together women from Samburu, Machakos, and Homa Bay Counties, uniting community leaders, donors, and volunteers across sectors to support women engaged in weaving, basketry, and beadwork.

Through NARETOI SAAEN we aim to drive social and economic empowerment by creating inclusive spaces where women artisans can build their skills, expand their networks, and access new opportunities. The program’s goal is to establish dedicated resource centers in each county, providing essential tools and support to help women artisans reach international markets, particularly in the United States.

Our entrepreneurship and business incubation program provides a holistic support system for emerging entrepreneurs, combining hands-on training, tailored mentorship, and access to critical resources that help individuals turn their ideas into sustainable, growth-oriented ventures.

1st phase

Business Skills Training

WE equips our beneficiaries with practical knowledge in financial literacy, marketing, record-keeping, and customer service—empowering them to start, manage, and grow sustainable businesses with confidence and competence

2nd Phase

Hands-On Skills Development

providing practical training in beadwork, leatherwork, tailoring, and product design, enabling them to create high-quality, market-ready products and generate sustainable income for their families.

3rd phase

Startup Capital Support

We provide up to KES 150,000 in seed capital, along with business kits tailored to their trade and ongoing mentorship. This support helps them launch or grow their businesses with the tools, funding, and guidance needed to succeed and create lasting impact in their communities.

4th phase

E-Commerce Training

helping women access wider markets and grow online businesses connecting women to local and regional markets for their products through our incubation center, offering a secure environment for learning, production, and networking
